WTFL One and Only Pretty boy
WTFL STAR IS LOCAL HERO

A few updates will be added to in the next few days for new players who are looking to join The WTFL for this season or next Although this is an Unofficial site, I have received emails asking for more information about how to, and where do new teams sign up, UPDATE WILL OCCUR SHORTLY

During the offseason, The WTFL gained 2 new teams, The Praire Fire and also The Outlaws while the Timberwolves have regrouped and joined the league after a one year hiatus. Unfortunately, The League lost 5 teams in the offseason, The Razorbacks and Desperadoes left for the Ultimate Touch Football League, while the Vipers, Pallbearers and the Untouchables faded into the football abyss. There was also some name changes for Teams, The 4th division Sundevils became The Demons, while the 3rd Division Bullets become The Replacements

The 3rd annual WTFL Recreation Tournament Info

  • The Nomads (The Winner of the 2001 Rec Tournament)
  • The Jets (Runner-up of the 2001 Rec Tournament )
  • Coca-Cola
  • The Cobras
  • The Demons
  • The Ravens
All Six teams played exceptionally well Football due to the Dry, Hot Field Conditions on the Saturday Afternoon. With clear skys and Temperatures in the high 20's, Fatigue happened quickly with the hot sun beating down on all the players through out the afternoon, Not to Mention With the added pressure of having to play multiple games in one afternoon, it definitely was a tournament for the survival of the fittest. It definitely was a change from the 2000 Recreation Tournament, it had rained and snowed with very strong winds during that Tournament. The Tournament which was eventually won by the team Coca-Cola over the RazorBacks 12-0. I played in that game, and as a Quarterback for the RazorBacks I have to say it must of been the strongest winds I have ever played in.
